Patna Women’s College

Many students in India, especially the capital of Bihar, Patna, decide to attend Patna University. Patna University is one of the oldest, largest and most respected higher educations in all of India with a variety of schooling options. Most fields of study can be found there and a student has an opportunity to learn under some of the most prestigious scholars of their time. However, there is another college that is beginning to gain notice and prestige as well- Patna Women’s College (PWC). Patna Women’s College is a college designed for women only and is built to fit their needs. It is the first women’s college ever to be established in Bihar, back in 1940. PWC is dedicated to bringing their students into an education that not only teaches them the basics about their schooling but also about leadership and success. In order to give women the best opportunity possible Patna Women’s College has a fully developed college atmosphere. Students have great facilities to use for their studies but are also urged to do community work in order to fulfill graduation requirements. Some of these outside of school activities include: sports days, disaster help, family life, community development and personality training classes. All these classes are geared toward equipping the women of Patna as much as possible to be effective in the world. Patna Women’s College is a great place to further your learning and your basic skills if you are a woman because there is a lot of variety in atmosphere and teaching than any other school in India.
