The employees, Amarendra Kumar, Shiv Nandan and Mohan Lal were arrested and accused of helping out with the Farhan Malik fake passport case happening several years ago. Farhan was accused of lying on his passport application in hopes of getting access as a resident of Biharsharif. He was aided by the three passport workers above. All were arrested in 2002. The Farhan case brought Patna publicity that it was not looking for, especially in its passport offices where safety is always the number one concern. The Bihar police brought a quick end to the case and caught the accused quickly and efficiently bringing justice to the situation. Patna passport offices took this in stroll and have since upped its security measures and its precautionary application rules.
