Patna is a large and vibrant city of more than 1,200,000 people that is the capital of the North-East Indian state of Bihar.

The city lies along the banks of the Ganges River and it is surrounded by important religious centers for the Buddhist, Sikh and Jain religions

The city has been inhabited for more than 2000 years but it is rapidly developing into a successful modern metropolis. The city's universities attract the best students from all over Bihar. In its streets you will hear people talking Magahi, Angika, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Oriva plus Hindi and English.
